FURTHER £400K INVESTMENT AT
THE KINGSMILLS HOTEL, INVERNESS
The Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness has undergone a facelift since returning to independent ownership in November 2007. Only fourteen months into this new business the Managing Director, Mr. Tony Story, is demonstrating how serious and passionate he is in transforming the Kingsmills Hotel from a good hotel to a truly memorable experience for all hotel users.
The most recent phase of refurbishment in the hotel is a further £400K investment in the new lounge and conservatory. The area has been completely transformed into a light bright and spacious area with a luxurious lounge and informal brasserie style restaurant.
This latest development began in January 2009 with the demolition of the existing conservatory to allow the new conservatory and lounge area to be created. The upper lounge level has lots of brightly colored couches, atmospheric lighting and can seat up to 60 people, ideal for meeting up with friends, family or colleagues for a coffee or food as meals are available from 10.00am – 10.00pm daily.
10.00am – 12.00 noon – “elevenses”
12.00 noon – 2.00pm lunch
2.00pm – 5.00pm afternoon tea and light bites
5.00pm to 10pm dinner
This phase of refurbishment completes the new look of the public and conference rooms on the ground floor which have all undergone a make over during the last 10 months, at the four star hotel. The investment to date is £700K in these areas.
The four ground floor meeting rooms are now modern light bright rooms suitable for conferences, training seminars, meetings and private dining for up to 100 people.
The Adams lounge is where Rabbie Burns visited the Inverness Provost, William Inglis in 1787 and is ideal for private dining from 8-20 people, the Burns meeting room is suitable for up to 100 delegate’s theatre style.
With plenty natural daylight the Torgorm and MacLeod meeting rooms are great for training or board meetings for up to 25 people.
The Kingsmills restaurant was completely refurbished in autumn 2008 and now offers a sophisticated and classic venue to enjoy fantastic a la carte dishes; food cooked using the finest of fresh produce and served elegantly.
Investment continued throughout 2008 with the leisure club at the hotel also receiving a make over with the gym being extended and new Cybex fitness equipment purchased the leisure club is open from 6.00am – 10.00pm Monday – Friday and 7.00am – 10.00pm Saturday and Sunday. Corporate, family and individual memberships are available for the club
However, the investment hasn’t only been in the fabric of the building but in the ingredients used to make the new dishes being served.
